Sorry...

I'm sorry it's been so long. Caleb is doing great! He is getting better and better each day with school. He is still getting cranky at night because he is so tired but one he gets used to it he will start to do better. The rest of us are doing good. Not too much has been going on. I'll let you know when something exciting happens.

Over The Sickness...

Well, Caleb is over his first sickness from day care.  I was really worried about him going back to "school" after being gone for 4 days but he had a really good day yesterday.  It seems that he a good day today as well.  He is starting to sleep a little more and eat a little more and he is getting good reports on his daily report sheet.  I'll keep you updated on how he is doing and I'll try to get some new pictures up soon.  Until then...

Already Sick...

Just 3 days into day care, Caleb got sick.  I stayed home with him yesterday because he did not feel good at all.  He didn't have a very good day on Wednesday so I figured that I would see how he did on Thursday morning.  He didn't do so hot so I stayed home to keep an eye on him.  He didn't have a great day.  He would go in spurts.  This morning, I got him up and his little nose was covered in green snot so I took him to the doctor and his daddy met us there.  Clayton stayed home with him after the doctors visit since I was out yesterday I didn't need to stay out today.  I hope that he gets better over the weekend.  I think that some rest and the medicine that the doctor gave him will get him ready to return to day care on Monday.  I'll keep you updated on his condition.  Until then...

His 1st Day Was Great...

Well, according to his daily report, Caleb's 1st day of school went really well. They read a book and sang a song on played and played and played. His report did say that he did pretty well napping on the mat. That was one of my biggest worries. She did say, however, that he is going to have to learn how to stay quiet during nap time. I think that he will pick up on that pretty quick. At least I hope he does.

He was extremly tired when we got home last night. He ate dinner and then he got a bath and then we let him play for a few minutes. He would play and then he would put his head down on the couch for a minute and then he would get up and play some more. That went on for about 30 minutes so at about 7:50 we put him in the bed. He never cried but he did talk for a little while and finally, I guess around 8:30 or so, we didn't hear anything else out of him.

I hope that today goes well for him. I'll let you know tomorrow how he did today. Until then...

Today Was The Day...

Today was Caleb's 1st day at school. When he got up this morning, I was talking to him about going to school and what a big boy he was and he was just all excited. When I pulled into the parking lot at the day care, he started saying "PAY!PAY!" (which means "play") as if he knew where we were. It was kind of cool. When we walked into the front door, he continued to say "PAY!PAY!" When we went back to the room, I put him down and he was just full of excitement and joy and he went straight for the toys. It's like he had been doing this all along. When the teacher put him at the table for breakfast, he saw that I was still in the room talking with his teacher and he started crying. As soon as the crying started, I walked out of the room into his actual room to put all of his things down and when I was done talking with the teacher, I peeked back into his room and it's like I wasn't a worry anymore. He was eating and watching the other kids and eager to get down and play. I was sooo... proud of him. He is growing up and becoming a little man now. He is no longer a baby. He will ALWAYS be MY BABY though!

I'll update you tomorrow on how the rest of the day went for him. I'll find out today when I pick him up so until tomorrow...

Just A Few More Days...

There are only a few days left until Caleb starts Day Care. I can't believe that it's already time for me to put him in Day Care. I just feel like he shouldn't be old enough to go to Day Care.

I'll be taking him to the Day Care on Friday to let him play and see how he acts with the other kids and the teachers. I really want to see how the teachers and the other kids take to him too. I'm going to take him to the doctor first to get 2 shots that he never got when he turned 1 and then we are going to go to the new Day Care so that I can meet with the lady that is in charge of that one and after all of that, we are going to go and test out this whole Day Care Thing. I'm sure that he will do fine. It's me that I'm worried about but I think that I'm going to take it ok.

Sorry It's Been So Long...

I know that it has been a long time since I have given everyone an update on Caleb. We have just been very busy and I haven't really had time to get on and write. Caleb is doing very well. He is growing like a weed. He is getting into everything and he wants to help me or Clayton with whatever we are doing. He loves to be outside. He will walk to the front door and point and say "side, side." When he is ready to go back in he does the same thing. He is very smart. We are very proud of him.

We just found out a week ago that Caleb's Grammy (she keeps him for us during the day) is going to have to go back to work. It has really been stressful for us trying to figure out how we are going to pay for this but we know that it will all work itself out. We are just going to put it in God's hands and pray that he show us how to do it. He is going to have to start Day Care. He is going to be starting on Monday (April 14th) at Wee Steps in Sharpsburg. To tell you the truth, I'm very nervous but yet kind of excited about putting him in a Day Care. I have been wanting to do it but I really wanted to wait until he was at least 2. I guess 17 months is close enough. We are really going to miss having Grammy keep him for us and I know that he will miss seeing her everyday but he will have lots of fun and make lots of friends. He will learn sooo... much in Day Care.
Well, that is just a tiny update on what is going on in the world of Caleb right now. I'll update you Monday and let you know how I took dropping him off for the first time at Day Care.

Finally Home...

Well, we had a great time at the race this past weekend but we are really glad that it is over with and that we can just go home and rest now. Unfortunatelly, Caleb wasn't able to come to the track on Friday because the weather was just way too unpredictable and we didn't want to take the chance of him getting sick so he had to miss out. There is always October.

The camping was great! It was much better to not have to worry about staying late and getting up really early to beat the traffic and to not to have to worry about anyone driving. We will never go back not staying the night, I can PROMISE YOU that!

I have much more to tell you but I have to get back to work right now. Until next time...

Off to the Race Track...

Well, race weekend is finally here. We are leaving this afternoon to head down to the track. I can't wait, we are going to have a blast.

Unfortunatelly, Caleb will not be able to go on Friday because the weather is not going to be very nice. Clayton and I don't want to risk him getting sick so we have decided not to bring him up there.

I'll give you an update on Tuesday when I get back to work and let you know how the weekend went. Have a great one and until Tuesday...

Getting Ready for the Weekend...

We are trying to get ready for race weekend. We have so many things to do and so little time to do them. Tomorrow night the guys are going to start working on the deck for the back of the truck and the girls are going to clean the camper out. It's not too bad dirty so hopefully it won't take too long to do. Saturday the guys are going to continue to work on the camper and the girls are going to do some scrapbooking. Always waiting till the last minute but it's ok since there will be at least 2 of us working on it. Caleb is going to help too! I would really like for someone to keep him for me while we do some work but everyone is busy so he is going to be with us. That is ok though. Hopefully he won't be too bad. I feel like we are stressing too much about this but since it was a last minute thing we haven't really had that much time to work on everything and get everything together. It should go pretty good though.

How about an update on Caleb,

He is doing great! He has started this new thing with his face. When I tell him "NO" he gives me this mad, sort of evil, look with his lips puckered out and then about 2 seconds later he gets this big smile on his face and says "HEY!" It's so funny. I know that I shouldn't laugh but sometimes I just can't help it. He is a mess and I LOVE HIM SOOO... MUCH!!

Until next time...Enjoy this little booger!

1st Trip to the Hunnting Camp...

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post something. I just really haven't had time so I'm going to make time right now. We took Caleb out to the hunting camp that Clayton goes to yesterday afternoon. He absolutely loved it. He could just run around and play and really do whatever he wanted to do. He is a picture of him from yesterday. He wasn't really sure though what to do.

Kind of Looks Professional! What do You Think?

Also, just to let you know. We bought a camper yesterday. Well, it really hasn't been bought yet but Clayton is going to be buying it atfer the race. We are taking it to the race though. We are very excited. We think that we are going to have a great time having our own place, with some of our friends, to call our own and have a good time and not have to worry about anything. We are going to be taking Caleb on Friday so I will have some good pictures of him after the race. I'm sure, at least I'm going to try, to add more before then but I am just telling you about the race so that you will know to keep checking out his blog for new and fun pictures.

Off of the Bottle...

I think that Caleb might finally be off of the bottle completely. For a while, I was just giving him a bottle in the mornings and the evenings at bedtime. I stopped giving him a bottle at bedtime about a month ago and he started going to be bed pretty good without having to have a bottle. That was very exciting. For a while there, he was only getting one first thing in the morning. Yesterday morning, I woke him up and put his milk in a sippie cup. For some reason, he wouldn't drink milk out of a sippie and yesterday morning I was just going to give it a shot. Again, he wouldn't drink the milk. He will drink juice out of the cup but for some reason he doesn't like his milk in the cup. This morning I did the same thing. To my supprise, he drank his milk out of the cup this morning. I was very excited. I think that we are finally going to be able to put all of those bottles up and make more room for some of our things in the kitchen. We will only need a small space for the cups, especially compared to the whole cabinet with the bottles in them. I'll keep you updated on his progress with the cup...

Dancing Machine...

Caleb loves to dance. It is just so funny when he gets to going. He starts singing and laughing and dancing his little heart out. And also, if you can't tell, he likes to play the Wii. He doesn't actually play but he sure thinks that he is playing. He throws his little arm around and makes noises like his Mommy & Daddy do when they are playing. You just have to see it to understand exactly what I'm talking about. It is just so precious.

Another Tooth...

Caleb was not a very happy camper yesterday. He didn't have a nap at all yesterday and I just saw last night that he has another tooth coming in. It has barely broke through and he was in a lot of pain last nigth. He didn't eat hardly anything yesterday. All he wanted to was to be held is what it seemed like. That is ok though. Mommy will take care of her baby!

Other then him not getting his nap in, he had a pretty fun day. He went to see his MiMi at work and then she took us out to lunch. After that, we went to Atlanta to see his Aunt Stink (Harlie). He loved looking out the windows at her office. Our last stop was Mommy's office. We didn't stay there too long because by that time Caleb was really ready to get some sleep. He was ready to get home for sure.

Last night we went to Lowe's to get some paint so that we can start painting our kitchen. Hopefully it will look really nice when we get done with it. We went to eat dinner at Texas Roadhouse and Caleb didn't eat anything hardly. He just sat in my lap and laid his little head on me the whole time we were eating. I loved it.

I'll keep you update on him and how he is doing. I'm hoping that him not feeling good is just from him teething again. Pray for him for that please.

Thursday, January 31, 2008

This is Caleb the first time he ever crawled. It was just so funny. I know that he is walking everywhere now but I figured that you would like to see him when he was really little learning to do something new. We laughed so hard at him because he just kept falling on his face but the little booger didn't give up. We were so proud of him.

Caleb in Black & White

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Just an update...

I just want you to know that Caleb loves music. We were watching Dance Wars last night and he stood right in front of the tv and started dancing and singing. It was just the cutest thing ever. He had done it at home before but no one else has seen him do that. Clayton's family got to see him "Bust A Move" last night. Too bad I didn't have my video camera with me then I would be able to share it with you. I'll try to catch it next time. Until next time...

It's the weekend...

Just to let you know, Caleb is ready for the weekend just like him mommy & daddy are. I'm hoping that this is going to be a good weekend but you know that they are never long enough.

Oh yeah, also, I wanted to let you know that Caleb is trying to run now. He starts to get a little ahead of himself and tries to take off and it's really funny to watch. He usually doesn't get very far before he either falls down or before he realizes that he is about to fall and slows down a little. I'll let you know how the weekend went on Monday.

Have a great weekend and you'll hear from us on Monday. Check out his new slideshow that I have posted on his blog as well. I think that you will like it.

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

It has been a few days so I figured that I would give you an update (especially for you Cicely). Caleb went out on Saturday to play in the snow. He loved it! I'm so glad that he is walking now that way we could get him out there and just let him go. He ate his first snow ball. He was just way too funny out there. His hands and nose and cheeks were bright red but he didn't want to come back inside. He would much rather be outside then stay inside. That is a good thing though so I'm not complaining.

All Better & Walking Everywhere...

I think that Caleb is finaly better. He is back to his same little self so that is a good sign. He has learned to push himself up from the floor to walk instead of me having to stand him up or him having to find something to pull up on before he takes off walking. Clayton and I are so very proud of him! We love you little man!

Almost better...

Caleb is finally feeling better. He is almost back to normal. His little cough is almost gone and his nose is better now. I'm so glad and I know that he is too. He is just not his self when he doesn't feel good. I hope that everyone has a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday to let you know how the weekend was!

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

Caleb is getting a little better. He had a much better day yesterday then he has in a few days. That's always a good sign. I'll keep you updated on him and his sickness.

I have just entered Caleb in the "Live With Regis & Kelly" Beautiful Baby Contest. Please go and vote for him because he is the most beautiful baby and I would love if he won. That would be just awesome. He could win money for college and other things and everyone knows that college is just so darn expensive so if he could win money for it that would be great. Here is the picture that I have entered. I hope that all of you that look at this blog vote for him.

Getting Better Hopefully...

Caleb is feeling just a little better this morning. Hopefully he is on the road to getting well. He is still fussy but not like he has been the past couple of days. I'll keep you updated.

Caleb's Sickness...

Caleb has Strep. He is just so pittiful. He is having trouble sleeping and his little cough is just terrible. I hate him being sick because he is unhappy. I do love the fact though that he just wants to sit in my lap and let me love on him though. He is the sweetest baby in the world. Mommy & Daddy Love You Caleb! Please get better soon!

Friday, January 4, 2008

Caleb is getting really sick. His cough is getting worse and his nose won't stop running. I guess I'm going to have to take him to the doctor.

Thursday, January 3, 2008

January 3, 2008

Caleb is walking everywhere. He is getting into everything. I wish that he would slow down a little because he is growing up very fast. He is my pride and joy and I wouldn't trade him for anything in this world. He is getting a little cold so I need to get him some medications from the store to see if that will help him. If not then I'm going to have to take him to the doctor. He has never been sick before so I hope that this doesn't get too bad. He has had a really runny nose and a small cough and his cheeks are really red.
